About

Writer. Former hotshot brewer.

For well over a decade, I poured my heart and soul into becoming a highly skilled brewer. Brewing gave me the chance to travel the world, see the sights, and hone my craft. I once imagined opening a brewery, as many brewers do after enduring a slew of horrible bosses, but life had other plans, like a full-on pandemic-induced existential crisis.

Embarking on a difficult, though retrospectively exhilarating, journey of personal ~transformation~, I eventually unearthed a latent passion that had been hidden by my side all along. Harnessing the creative energy I found in brewing, I adapted it for writing, all while realizing it will never be a viable form of employment.

I currently reside in Portland, where I was born & raised, but have lived all over (list available per request). I can be found drinking natural wine, missing the NYC ferry (NYC’s best mode of transportation), adopting too many hobbies, mapping fig trees, and finding inspiration among the absurd monotony of everyday living. Despite all my life experiences, I still loathe asparagus.

I’d like you to know that this about section once contained a viable amount of brewing-related puns, but the result attenuated poorly and lacked body.
